Ali Myers joined us this year as a seasonal instructor/facilitator. She is a student a Northern Michigan University majoring in Environmental Science with a concentration in Natural Resources and minoring in Outdoor Recreation. Her past experiences as an educator have come from Howell Nature Center, and she is the president of the NMU Organization for Outdoor Recreation Professionals.
Ali’s high energy and positive outlook capture the attention and admiration of visiting students. It feeds her coworkers and keeps us on our toes. Her main program which she presented was Nature Scene Investigators – taking a look at a preprepared scene with tracks and other evidence and interpreting what may have happened. She mentioned that what she learned while working with us would definitely be applied as she returns to Howell Nature Center and in her future endeavors.
We are hopeful that Ali will join us again as her schedule permits.
